I am extremely proud of all the students who competed and the students who help prepared them for competition. We had five competitors from the ARES BJJ KIDS program compete at NAGA Battle at the Beach grappling tournament in Wildwood, NJ. Jacob M., Logan A., Bruce, Gracie and Alexis. The NAGA event went smoothly and all the competitors fought hard.

Alexis smiled through her competition and executed some nice Osotogari technique in her matches.

Gracie showed heart getting up after multiple take downs and positional disadvantages. Gracie came back strong in her second match with multiple drop Seoi Nages and positional advantages.

Bruce had a nice technical match, fought hard through positional disadvantages and making multiple attempts to submit his opponent by Kimura.

Logan had a few rough matches but had a great learning experience. Logan didn’t give up and show his fighting spirit.

Jacob M. was on firing taking down his opponents with Judo techniques(foot sweep and modified Tai Otoshi) and positional advantages.

Thank you to all the parent for their support, to Sensi Shannon Weaver and Coach Eiker and to all the kids in the BJJ/Judo program.
